Seminar by Marion Panizzon for the ProDoc Fondements du droit européen et international, University of Fribourg, 22 February 2012
Presenting ongoing research and communicating research results is a
challenge every doctoral student will be facing during and after completion
of the PhD work. Communicating effectively requires sound presentation strategies, which build upon a good knowledge of the research question, a clear view on the limits of one’s knowledge, a grasp of the controversies surrounding the topic,
and a convincing portrait of the added-value of one’s research efforts.
This research seminar offered PhD students in legal studies the toolkit on
how to navigate between the topic, the audience, and their abilities as a
speaker and researcher.
