The World Trade Institute is pleased to welcome back alumnus (MILE 17) Jean-Philippe Herbert. NOTE: THIS SEMINAR IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Jean-Philippe, WTI alumnus (MILE 17), will discuss trending topics in EU/UK trade having an impact on e-commerce businesses, including the ongoing reform of the Union Customs Code.
Speaker biography
Jean-Philippe Herbert (MILE 17) is an international lawyer with expertise in global trade, e-commerce, and supply chain operations. Jean-Philippe is a legal counsel at Amazon, where he gives legal and strategic advice on new import- and export-related issues arising in Europe. Prior to Amazon, he worked as a dispute settlement lawyer at the WTO, and was previously a litigation attorney at a large commercial law firm in Canada. Jean-Philippe graduated from the WTI summa cum laude and was awarded the Thomas Cottier Award for best master thesis. He holds a post-master in EU Customs Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and a J.D. & B.C.L. in civil law and common law from McGill University. Outside of work, Jean-Philippe enjoys refereeing basketball, mentoring students, and cycling.
