Global Negotiation Conference 2016

The Global Negotiation Conference (GNC) aims to bring together students from a range of disciplines to further their practical knowledge of negotiation while deepening their understanding of a current international issue.

This year the GNC will be focusing on negotiations that take place at the international level related to a topic in international migration.

The programme will include two days of presentations and workshops conducted by experienced practitioners and academics on different aspects of international negotiations. On the second day of the conference students will take part in a negotiation simulation based on a topic concerning international migration. Teams will be assigned delegations prior to the conference and will be provided with information on their position, which they will be expected to have thoroughly prepared.

The competition is open to students from all disciplines although they will be expected to demonstrate that they have a keen interest in international negotiations.
