Sohom is pursuing the MILE programme at the World Trade Institute in Bern, Switzerland. He has completed his undergraduate studies in Economics and Entrepreneurship at the University of Iowa with a Certificate in Energy and Finance from HEC Paris. Additionally, he has completed his Post-Graduate Diploma Programme in Public Policy at the Indian School of Public Policy, with a Certificate in Public Policy and International Development from the Harris School of Public Policy, University of Chicago.
Before pursuing his MILE programme, Sohom was part of the team leading advocacy and regulatory affairs for one of the largest crypto-asset exchanges in India (CoinSwitch Kuber). He was critical in building various advocacy strategies for the industry that have made a critical impact on the overall crypto industry. Sohom has also worked in various roles and has consulted multiple Non-Profits and Social Enterprises such as the Internet and Mobile Association of India, Save the Children and Sampurn Earth
Sohom is passionate about various aspects of Policy Making, specifically advocacy and regulatory affairs, with a keen interest in Emerging Technologies and FinTech applications. During his programme at MILE, he intends to learn the critical aspects of Trade and Investment and the policies that affect sectors at a multi-lateral level and in various jurisdictions.
Apart from work, Sohom is an avid traveller and loves to explore various cultures. He is a long-time supporter of Liverpool and enjoys watching TV series related to thrillers and drama.
