Nikhita Pais TRAIL+ 3

Nikhita Pais was born and brought up in Mumbai, India. She obtained a Bachelor of Legal Sciences (BLS) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Government Law College, University of Mumbai in 2016. Thereafter, she enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa (states of India).

Simultaneously, she completed the Company Secretaries (CS) course from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. As part of the CS and BLS. LLB. curriculum, she interned at a law firm and at the Bombay Stock Exchange. Subsequently, Nikhita worked for almost 3 years as an Associate with Wadia Ghandy & Co., one of the leading law firms in Mumbai. There she specialised in banking and finance matters where she inter alia handled debt related and securitisation transactions.

Her interest in international law and relations drove her to participate in various Model United Nation Conferences, both in India and at international levels (Singapore and Rome). Another area that appeals to her is finance and investment law. To gain an in-depth knowledge and widen her exposure in international trade and investment law, Nikhita decided to enrol in the TRAIL+ programme.

Being a music lover, she enjoys playing the keyboard and is now learning the flute. Trying different cuisines and exploring places are some of the things she enjoys doing. She is also a voracious reader, a Warli artist and a chess player. Apart from English and Hindi, Nikhita speaks basic French, having done the level A1 course from Alliance Française de Bombay.
