Zahra Faheina Gadelha holds a Bachelor in Economics from the Federal University of Ceara (Brazil) and a MBA in Trade Remedies from IBMEC (Brazil).

Following the completion of her undergraduate degree, Zahra joined the Brazilian Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC) in 2013, where she has been, since then, serving as a foreign trade analyst in the Department of Trade Remedies (DECOM).

During her time in the Ministry, she has gathered experience in antidumping investigations, legal drafting and dispute settlement cases at the WTO.

In 2016, she was privileged to participate in the Training and Research Programme in International Trade offered by the Brazilian Mission to the WTO in Geneva, where she attended meetings on topics as diverse as regional agreements, services and investments. In addition, she also had the opportunity to learn first-hand the different phases of the cases brought by the Members to the Dispute Settlement Body of the WTO.

Zahra is currently enrolled on the Master in International Law and Economics (MILE) programme at the World Trade Institute (WTI), on a WTI Director Scholarship.

She aspires to both deepen her competences in trade remedies as well as expand her knowledge of other areas of international trade.

In her spare time she enjoys traveling and listening to music.
