Vietnam
Phuong Lan graduated from the Foreign Trade University (FTU), one of the most reputable universities of Vietnam, where she obtained a very good Bachelor's degree majoring in International Economics in 2016. Her BSc thesis dissertation dealt with examining the comparative challenges and opportunities of trade creation and diversion between Vietnam and Japan under economic globalisation.
Phuong is currently enrolled in the Master in International Law and Economics (MILE) programme at World Trade Institute (WTI), Switzerland. She is keen to build upon her Bachelor's studies and has a particular interest in applying what she learns to help her home country in the future. In order to pursue her studies Phuong is supported by a SECO scholarship.
Phuong is keen to become an expert trade promoter and a lecturer in international law and economics. She hopes to be able to contribute to the development of her home country as well as to the sustainable growth of the world’s economy.
Personally, Phuong is friendly, always open to new experiences and enjoys volunteering with community-based activities. In her spare time she enjoys listening to music and travelling.
