Melanie Theisinger MILE 16

Melanie Theisinger has a background in economics and political science and has experience working for the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), the Canadian Embassy, and Siemens AG.

In her Bachelor’s thesis, she focused on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). While working at EFTA, she drafted documents for negotiations and notifications for the WTO on the development of EFTA States’ economies and their trade with third countries. She assisted in third-country negotiations, as well as council and ministerial meetings. At the Embassy of Canada, writing reports about current economic developments, planning panel and roundtable discussions, and preparing materials for visiting ministers were among her responsibilities.

She also has experience in the private sector. Working for Siemens gave her deeper insights into the logic of corporations and marketing communication.
