Trang Ngo graduated magna cum laude from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, majoring in international law. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member of the Vietnamese team participating in two prestigious international law moot court competitions, namely the 2010 Asia Cup in Japan and the 2011 Philip C. Jessup in the USA. For the former competition, her team was ranked third and she was among the first Vietnamese students who were individually ranked in the Top 10 Best Oralists. These are the best achievements of a Vietnamese team so far. After graduation, Trang joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and began expanding her knowledge and analytical ability through research and study. She has been involved in a number of ministerial-level research projects concerning international law, which provided strategic legal advice for the Vietnamese Government. Her research interests are Public International Law, International Trade Law, the Law of the Sea and International Human Rights Law. Moreover, she has actively participated in numerous training courses on international law in Vietnam and other Asian countries. Trang aspires to become a professor in International Trade Law to effectively contribute to her country in its process of integration. She was awarded a Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) Scholarship and the prestigious Belgian Bilateral Scholarship to pursue a Master's Degree in Law. However, Trang chose to come to Switzerland in the belief that she can deepen her knowledge of international trade law and equip herself with the necessary legal skills through her participation in the MILE Programme. Trang loves to travel. She is keen to discover new places and get to know people from many parts of the world. In her leisure time, she enjoys listening to music and reading novels.
