Assylzat Karabayeva received an International Relations Bachelor degree in Kazakhstan in 2012. Having gained a basic knowledge of international relations and economics during her four-year studies at Suleyman Demirel University, her internships within the public and private sectors contributed to her professional growth and personal development. Before graduating, Assylzat worked as a Teaching Assistant, wherein her main responsibilities included directly assisting with teaching delivery and catering for the student body’s special needs and extra-curricular activities. Upon graduating from Suleyman Demirel University, she was invited to lecture on political science and international organizations. In 2012, Assylzat was named winner of the International Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Bolashak”. Before starting her graduate degree at WTI, she took 3 months pre-sessional courses at the University of Manchester. Assylzat’s first language is Kazakh and she is fluent in Russian, Turkish and English.
