Dode Seidu holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Economics from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, as well as a Higher National Diploma in Statistics from Accra Polytechnic. Since 2009, Dode has worked as an Administrative and Communications Officer in the Economic Section of the Embassy of Switzerland in Ghana, where he developed his interest in international trade. Working at the Embassy exposed Dode to trade and economic policy programmes such as intellectual property rights, trade standards, general budget support and sustainable public procurement.

Over this period, Dode worked on the UNIDO project Investment Promotion in Sub Saharan Africa (IPSSA) which helped Ghana’s investment promotion agency to package local investment opportunities for marketing abroad. More recently, Dode has been working in improving communication on general budget support and sustainable public procurement in Ghana. Prior to working at the Embassy, Dode worked with Church World Service, a US humanitarian organization that resettled refugees from West Africa to the United States. Working with Church World Service, he developed knowledge and interest in international law, specifically in human rights, refugee law and humanitarian law.
