Federica Casi holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs - with a focus on international security and the post-Soviet area - from the University of Bologna and Sciences Po, Paris. She attended the Diplomatic Academy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2011 as well as the Master in International Law and Economics (MILE Programme) of the World Trade Institute in 2013, with a final thesis on the compatibility of Russia’s commitments in the WTO with the Eurasian Customs Union. In 2010, Federica interned as a policy officer at the Italian Embassy in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan on the occasion of Kazakhstan’s OSCE Chairmanship and the creation of a Customs Union between Russia-Belarus and Kazakhstan. She also worked as a project manager for the region of Puglia and as an officer at the Directorate General for Trade (DG TRADE) of the European Commission, within the unit dealing with WTO Coordination, OECD, export credits and dual use. Federica is an Italian native speaker with fluent English, French and Russian. She particularly enjoys theatre/opera, Russian literature and jazz music.
