Quynh Nguyen started her PhD in International Relations and International Political Economy, under Professor Bernauer, in April 2012 after having received her joint Master’s degree in Comparative and International Studies from the ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. Prior to joining Professor Bernauer's group she was involved in the group’s research project on Individual Trade Policy Preferences as a research assistant. For her Master's Thesis, Quynh further pursued the topic of Individual Trade Policy Preferences by utilising the research project’s framework and specifically focused on the Vietnam country case study where she conducted experimental surveys and interviews. Her research interests include development economics and the application of experimental methods in political science. Quynh earned her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the Otto-Suhr Institute of the Free University, Berlin. In addition, she spent an academic year at the University of Sussex, UK.
