Jean Msabila MILE 11

Jean Abel Msabila is an Economist at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Marketing in the Department of Trade Integration under the section of Bilateral Cooperation programs, Tanzania. She has a bachelor degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness from the Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania.
Upon graduating, she took up the position of banking officer at the Commercial Rural Development Bank for one year. She currently works for the Ministry of Industry Trade and Marketing as an Economist in the Bilateral Cooperation division where her work mainly involves monitoring developments in the bilateral trading system. She is very eager to learn how one might use economic theory to tackle real social problems. Furthermore, her particular interest in International Trade has led her to the MILE programme which will deepen her understanding of the dynamics of international trade. Her wish is to contribute efficiently to the development and advancement of her country’s trade policy interests.
Apart from work, she likes reading, playing netball, praying, travel and spending time with friends and relatives.
