Suhani Chanchlani is an India qualified lawyer having four years of professional experience in trade remedies and international trade law & policy. She completed her undergraduate degree in law from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, India. She is currently matriculated in the LL.M. programme in International Trade and Investment Law (TRAIL+).

Prior to joining WTI, Suhani has worked as a Legal Associate at TPM Solicitors & Consultants Pvt. Ltd., a leading law firm in the trade remedies sector, where she represented key Indian industries before Indian and US authorities. She has developed expertise in Subsidies and Countervailing Measures, particularly in US and Indian trade defence laws.

Suhani has also worked as a Legal Associate at Clarus Law Associates advising the Indian government on international trade disputes, including the USA’s Section 301 investigation into India’s digital taxes. She contributed to the suspension of proposed tariffs on India and provided counsel to India on WTO Agriculture negotiations.

In addition to her professional experience, Suhani has interned at the Centre for WTO Studies and with Justice Indu Malhotra of the Supreme Court of India, where she contributed to research for Commentary on Indian Arbitration Law.

Suhani is keen to develop deeper and broader understanding of international trade laws and regulations.
