Dr. Annageldi Arazmyradov
He holds a Master of Science Degree in Economics and a PhD Degree in Economics and Management of Technology, followed by a CAS in Cooperation and Development. He worked for many years in local international organizations such as USIAD/Winrock International “Farmer-to-Farmer Program," UNICEF, and others. He gained practical experience in project management, evaluation, and monitoring.
The main reason for joining the MILE program is to acquire contemporary knowledge and skills in international trade and WTO law, international investment law, and regulation.
His academic research interests lie at the intersection of international trade law, investment, climate change, and economics. In particular, he is interested in questions about the economic impact of combating climate change on trade, sustainable development, and global governance policies. Other topics of research are government subsidies, free economic zones, and foreign investments.
He speaks English, Italian, Russian, and Turkmen (mother tongue). He strongly supports the accession of Turkmenistan to the WTO and thinks this historical event will dramatically boost socio-economic development and improve its international reputation.
