Shruti Jhanwar grew up in a small town in Madhya Pradesh, India, where her early experiences in an agricultural community sparked her interest in international trade and law. Observing the local impact of trading regulations, she developed a curiosity about the legal frameworks that shape global commerce.

She completed her B.B.A. LL.B. from Jindal Global Law School in 2024. Her academic journey was enriched by coursework under renowned professors, such as Prof. Prabhash Ranjan and B.S. Chimni that helped her build interest in international law and investment treaties, and internships at institutions, including the Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL) and law firms like DSK Legal and Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan.

She has served as a teaching assistant and research assistant for courses and topics related to environment and economic law, and international trade law. Additionally, she was a finalist in the Global Tax Treaty Commentaries 2024 competition organized by the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD).

In her free time, Shruti enjoys research, traveling, and dancing. Her goal is to leverage her legal expertise to influence global trade policy, particularly in developing economies, and promote sustainable trade practices.
