Francisco holds a Bachelor's in Laws from the University of Piura, Peru. For some seven years, he worked in different private law firms in Lima, Peru. His areas of specialization were corporate, banking and finance, and capital markets law. Moreover, by focusing on investments regulation for institutional investors, he gained an expertise in alternative instruments and derivative agreements.
In joining the MILE program, Francisco wishes to make a career change and eventually work in economic policy design. His main academic interests are political economy and monetary policy, and their impact on international trade and investment.
He is a dual Peruvian and Spanish national. Francisco speaks Spanish and English fluently. He holds a B2 DELF diploma in French and is currently learning German. During his free time, he enjoys doing long-distance running.
