A Selection of Peter van den Bossche's April Activities
The WTI's Director of Studies has engaged in several activities this month. Of special mention are his participation at the 13th Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) International Moot Court Competition 2022.
On 8 April 2022, Prof. Van den Bossche, who serves on the Advisory Board of the WTO Chair Programme, gave a lecture on WTO Dispute Settlement at the UIBE WTO Chair Launch Event and Seminar on WTO MC 12. This event was organized by the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) as well as the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics. Both are long-term academic partners of the WTI. Other high-profile participants included:
- Amb. Hung Seng Tan, Permanent Representative of Singapore to the WTO
- Amb. Matthias Francke, Permanent Representative of Singapore to the WTO
- Amb. Santiago Wills, Permanent Representative of Singapore to the WTO
- Mr. Antony Taubman, Director Intellectual Property
On 10 April 2022, Van den Bossche chaired the final panel of the 13th GNLU International Moot Court Competition 2022, organized by the Gujarat National Law University in Gandhinagar, India. The WTI has been a proud long-term academic supporter of this prestigious simulation exercise.
Then, on 12 April 2022, he gave a short presentation on The TRIPS Agreement and WTO Dispute Settlement Today at the 2022 IEEM IP Programme Online Conference, organized by the Institute of European Studies Macau (IEEM).
