ETSG Annual Conference 2021 and WTO Essay Prize
The European Trade Study Group (ESTG) annual conference was held in September 2021. The WTI serves as a co-organising institution for ETSG, which is the largest conference dedicated to the economics of international trade.
ETSG was last held in Bern in 2019, and after a forced break in 2020 due to the pandemic, this year's conference took place in Ghent in hybrid format. As in past years, the WTO awarded its annual WTO Essay award at the conference as well. The winners this year were:
Tomás Domínguez-Iino
"Efficiency and Redistribution in Environmental Policy: An Equilibrium Analysis of Agricultural Supply Chains"
Swapnika Rachapalli
"Learning Between Buyers and Sellers Along the Global Value Chains"
The full list of current and past WTO prize winners is listed here. More information on ETSG 2021 is available here. The virtual conference proceedings are available here. The virtual proceedings include a download link for all papers, including the WTO prize winner papers.
ETSG 2022 will be held at the University of Groningen.
