Some of Peter Van den Bossche's September Activities
The WTI's Director of Studies engaged in several activities this last month. Of special mention are his participation at the 22nd Global Conference on Environmental Taxation and the introduction of his seminar at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.
On 23 September 2021, Peter Van den Bossche gave an online keynote lecture on The EU’s Draft Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and its Consistency with WTO Law at the 22nd Global Conference on Environmental Taxation (full programme linked below). The Conference explored the wide range of strategies and instruments to implement the environmental goals for 2030 and 2050. In addition to the three keynote speeches, the Conference had 19 parallel sessions during which 66 papers were discussed.
On 24 September 2021, Prof. Van den Bossche introduced at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, his Seminar on WTO Law: Substantive and Institutional Aspects of a System in Crisis. This seminar will run from January to April 2022 and introduces participating students to the institutions and rules governing international trade.
