Mira Burri receives an Award by the Government Council of Lucerne
On 13 September 2021, long-standing WTI External Faculty member Mira Burri received an award by the Government Council of Lucerne for all her achievements in research and teaching.
Earlier this year, she was also promoted Full Professor of International Economic Law and Internet Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lucerne. Prof. Em. Thomas Cottier pronounced the laudation. A video summary of the award ceremony can be found here.
Apart from Prof. Burri, in the last six months, two more WTI affiliates have been appointed as professors or have been promoted to professor:
Since March 2021, Doris Oberdabernig is Professor of Economics in Particular Environmental Economics at the University of Innsbruck in Austria.
In November 2020, Ilaria Espa obtained the National Scientific Qualification to Associate Professor in International Law (sector 12/E1) by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (by unanimity). Since the beginning of 2021, she is also senior assistant professor at Università della Svizzera Italiana.
