Latest News from the WTI
In January and early February 2021, Peter Van den Bossche, WTI Director of Studies, engaged in two teaching activities, in both of which he was joined by WTI External Faculty member Paolo Vergano, WTI Academic Coordinator Rodrigo Polanco and WTI PhD student Umid Yakubkhodjaev.
On 8, 9, 15 and 16 January 2021, Peter Van den Bossche, WTI Director of Studies, co-taught with Mr. Paolo Vergano of FratiniVergano European Lawyers and external WTI faculty member, a course on WTO Food Law in the context of the Food Law Master at LUISS Guido Carli University, Rome. He conducted as part of this course a two-day online simulation exercise, entitled "The Chocolate War".
On 1 and 2 February 2021, Peter Van den Bossche and Rodrigo Polanco, WTI Academic Coordinator, each taught a day-long course on international trade and investment dispute resolution respectively. They were assisted by Mr. Umid Yakubkhodjaev, PhD student at the WTI. These courses for early-career judges in Uzbekistan are part of the Rule of Law Partnership (ROL) Project of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
