Looking ahead to the WTI Summer Academy
Applications are still being accepted for the World Trade Institute’s 15th annual Summer Academy on trade and investment to be held from 3 July to 25 August 2017.
The long-running course has been extended to eight weeks, to make space for new modules on ‘Globalisation on trial’, ‘Sustainable development in trade and investment agreements’ and ‘Frontiers in intellectual property governance’.
Led by Peter Van den Bossche, Director of Studies, the WTI Summer Academy covers cutting-edge issues in investment, and trade law and policy. It is designed for professionals in the private and public sectors, and higher-education students.
The Summer Academy comprises modules taught by global experts, including from the World Bank and World Trade Organization, as well as WTI faculty. It can be attended on an ‘a la carte’ basis, allowing busy professionals to sign up for selected weeks.
When not in class, participants can take part in a range of social activities and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Bern in the summer.
The full course line-up can be found here.
