High-ranking Taiwanese delegation visits the WTI
A group of senior civil servants from Taiwan paid a visit to the WTI on 18 September for a one-day training programme on bilateral and multilateral trade agreements negotiation.
The 15-strong group are participants in a tailor-made executive course organised by the Graduate Institute Geneva that runs until 26 September.
They include officials from Taiwan’s ministries of foreign and economic affairs, finance, labour and science and technology.
The one-day training in Bern covered topics including the economics of preferential trade agreements, investment treaties, digital trade and the WTO, and the regulation of export barriers in the WTO.
The course was taught by Prof. Manfred Elsig and Drs Mira Burri, Ilaria Espa, Rodrigo Polanco and Anirudh Shingal.
