The new MILE programme is underway

A new intake of students have arrived at the World Trade Institute to begin the first semester of the Master of International Law and Economics (MILE).

The students were welcomed to the WTI by Programme Director Jin Glover on 14 September, the first day of the year-long, intensive course.

The cohort hail from all corners of the globe, with Russia and Ukraine especially well represented with three students apiece.

As usual law graduates make up the biggest group, followed by those with a degree in economics.  The third largest group are political science graduates.

The one-year Master’s programme – the first and most comprehensive programme of its kind in the world – is now in its 16th year.

The first semester, which runs until 18 December, offers students foundation courses in global political economy, fundamentals of public international law and international economic law, the micro-foundations of the global economy, and international macroeconomics.
