WTI, Externado University agree on cooperation
The World Trade Institute (WTI) is pleased to announce its intention to promote academic and research cooperation with the Faculty of Law of the Externado University of Colombia under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently entered into by the two parties.
The MoU foresees the two partner institutions cooperating through various channels, among which the exchange of teachers and doctoral students, the development of joint research projects, the co-supervision of doctoral theses, as well as through joint conferences and publications.
The agreement with Externado, based in Bogota, complements existing WTI partnerships in South America, namely with the University of Chile and the Pontifical Catholic University in Lima, Peru (PUCP).
"The WTI is delighted to add a leading Latin American institution to its stable of academic partnerships in the region,” commented Pierre Sauvé, Director of External Programmes and Academic Partnerships of the WTI.
“By associating with one of the largest law faculties in the hemisphere and the region's leading academic press, the WTI now has unique partnerships with three of the highest ranked institutions of higher learning in the vibrant Pacific Alliance. This partnership offers the Institute's community of researchers a unique vantage point to study regional integration dynamics in Latin America and to draw useful lessons in comparative scholarship."
