Prof. Thomas Cottier meets with Indian WTI alumni

During Prof. Cottier’s recent visit to India, meetings with various groups of Indian WTI alumni were arranged.

Prof. Cottier was invited to teach for the WTI-CWS Joint Academy on International Trade Law and Policy 2024 in Delhi. Jointly with Pallavi Arora from the Centre for WTO Studies he co-taught the module ‘Trade and Intellectual Property Rights’. Around 25 participants from law colleges all around India joined the Academy.

On the occasion of his visit to India, in Mumbai Prof. Cottier met with the alumni Urvi Tembey and Shilpha Narasimhan, as well as Maren Peters, the South Asia correspondent of Swiss Radio. In Delhi he was invited by a cohort of Indian alumni based in the capital city. Pallavi Bajaj, Harsh Gursahani, Harjodh Singh, Ashita Jain, Vishal Shrivastava, Sai Sumana Chamarty and Kartik Tyagi joined the event.

Other recent alumni activities in India included an ‘Alumni Session’ by alumni and WTI ambassadors Santanu Mukherjee, Sai Sumana Chamarty, Ashita Jain and Ridhish Rajvanshi. They shared their experiences during their time as students at the WTI with the WTI-CWS Joint Academy participants.
