WTI Moot Court Competition

The 2024 WTI Moot Court Competition was held on 27 and 28 May 2024 at the World Trade Organization in Geneva.

Congratulations to the members of all participating teams for their outstanding performance, and in particular, to the members of the winning team: Jelle Begeyn (Belgium), Niki Koumadoraki (Greece), Triplicane Satish (India), Tavieshi Singh (India), Nicholas Thomas (Antigua and Barbuda) and Saheli Wikramanayake (Sri Lanka). Special recognition goes to the following students:

Saheli Wikramanayake (Sri Lanka) and Kellen Maganjo (Kenya) as the best orators in the final round, and Anand Nandakumar (India), Saheli Wikramanayake (Sri Lanka) and Kellen Maganjo (Kenya) as the best orators in the preliminary rounds.  The team composed of Anand Nandakumar (India), Chieh-Ling Liao (Taiwan), Natalia Medina (Colombia), Arinze Ezeagu (Nigeria), and Harsha Sathiyamurthy (India) was awarded with the prize of best written submission.

The WTI wants to acknowledge the commitment and dedicated support of the coaches: Iryna Polovets (WTO) and Viktoriia Mykuliak (VVGB Advocats). The WTI is also grateful for the time generously given and the expert guidance provided by the panellists during the preliminary and final rounds of this year’s competition: Sybilla Fries (WTO), Gabriele Marceau (WTO), Tetyana Payosova (Van Bael & Bellis), Vitaliy Pogoretskyy (ACWL), Iain Sanford (Sidley Austin), Miguel Villamizar (WTO), and Xiaolu Zhu (WTO).
