New PhD Course was a success

From September 25th to 29th, we hosted a course on "Recent Developments in International Investment Law" taught by Dr Michele Potestà, Dr Nikos Lavranos, Dr Sofía Boza, and Dr Andrea Steingruber. 

The course delved into the critical scrutiny that the current investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) system is facing and explored various reform efforts by States and stakeholders to address these concerns.

Additionally, we conducted an in-depth review of the recent ICSID Rules amendments, which have introduced significant reforms to the ICSID arbitration framework. These reforms officially came into effect in July 2022.

It was an enlightening week of discussions, insights, and exploration of the evolving landscape of international investment law.
